How Rednecks Party

Oh, La Grange Rodeo.

One of the best events in the Spring here. I absolutely adore this little rodeo. Not only does it just take two turns of the steering wheel to get here, it's a beautiful drive.

Now, it's a bit redneck. Ok, maybe not redneck, just a little more western than most rodeos. I still recall one year sitting in the stands hearing some man yell at his 4 year old kid named "Billy Bob" sporting a mullet (the kid was the one with the mullet, mind you).

I love this rodeo because one side of the arena is the Grandstands.... and the other side of the arena is a bunch of pickup trucks filled with coolers and under dressed teeny boppers. (I don't love the scantily clad teeny boppers, but I do love the image of the confederate flag flying pickups).

La Grange Rodeo. Always some rednecks. Always some cold brewskies. Always some city girls wearing flannel and booty shorts. Always beautiful rolling green hills. Always a crowd pleaser.
