Curious Cows

Manny and I went to check on the ladies out in pasture last week. They are the most curious creatures, those Holstein cows.

They followed us on our "horse" all the way from the back end of the pasture to to the gate.

It's that time again - Springers are back out on pasture after a 4 1/2 month break!

Back Home

The ponies minutes after they were turned back into their home pasture. We've been giving their pasture a break the last month or so because we haven't had any moisture. After irrigating it once and getting a little natural wet stuff on their pasture, the grass is starting to grow again. We didn't think we would turn them back out into the pasture yet, but we're actually in the middle of a rain system which has turned their current digs into a sloppy mess.

I think the horses are happy. This video is really terrible quality (thank you unsmart phone), but Jade busted down that pasture like her life depended on it. Lazy girls got some gas.

Just in case this wasn't weird enough thinking this was just water the cat was walking through...

It's actually manure water from the cows. As in, it's filled with allllll their delicious food that goes in... and out. This cat won't be getting cuddled with for awhile.
